On Tuesday, North Korea launched an intercontinental ballistic missile — its first missile test in months.
The missile fell into the sea, landing in Japan’s exclusive economic zone. But it’s the distance the weapon was able to travel that is setting off alarm bells.
Defense Secretary James Mattis said the missile went higher than any of the country’s previous tests, according to Reuters .
Such news is a sign that North Korea’s missile capability is increasing.
