Leesburg man dead after heart attack, car crash

A Leesburg man died after having a heart attack in his car, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.

Jeffrey Oxyer, 67, was driving east on Millwood Road in Lake County about 8:45 Friday, just south of Lisbon and State Road 44, Sgt. Kim Montes said.
He had a heart attack approaching the intersection with Forest Drive, Montes said. His car rolled through the road and stopped in some bushes on the side of the road.
Oxyner was taken to Florida Hospital Waterman, where he died. Troopers are still investigating the crash.
James Herbert, 24, faces charges of aggravated child abuse and possession of a firearm in commission of a felony.
