Nintendo Switch Hits 10M Consoles Sold In Less Than A Year

Nintendo Switch has now sold more than 10 million units worldwide with a rise of 2.5 million consoles sold since their last financial update in September.
Nintendo is aiming for number one! The company has officially announced that their latest console, Nintendo Switch has now sold more than 10 million units worldwide with a rise of 2.5 million consoles sold since their last financial update in September.
The original plan for Nintendo is to ship 14 million Nintendo Switch consoles by the end of this financial year. This is a realistic goal, given the fact that the company is counting on this year’s holiday sales for a big boost. Even Sony, their biggest competitor thinks that Nintendo Switch is not a console that should be overlooked sales-wise.
Let’s not forget that many IHS and SuperData analysts were estimating that the console will sell only 4 to 5 million units. As it seems, this goal was too low for Nintendo who insists on investing on their console by bringing new huge titles almost every week.

Nintendo Switch will continue winning more fans steadily as more titles are getting released. The console’s lineup for 2018 includes Bayonetta, Street Fighter Anthology, Yoshi and Outlast Collection. Even though it might now replace Playstation 4 or Xbox One and their upgrades as a couch console, it gained a place in our backpacks as one of the best handheld consoles ever released.
