A man was arrested Friday and charged in connection with an Oct. 11 shooting on the property of Stonehill College, The Enterprise reported.
Dean A. Tupper, 57, of Easton, was arrested at his residence without incident Friday afternoon, according to a statement released by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office on Monday.

Tupper was arrested on charges of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, making false statements to the police, improper storage of a firearm, carrying a dangerous weapon on school grounds, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for his reckless handling of a firearm that resulted in the accidental shooting of another college employee, the statement said.
State police filed an arrest warrant with the Taunton District Court Clerk’s Office Friday for Tupper, who was released on $1,000 cash bail by a clerk magistrate over the weekend.
He is expected to be arraigned on the charges Tuesday morning in Taunton District Court.
