« This place is a s**thole. »
On Thursday, The Washington Post reported that during an immigration meeting, President Donald Trump asked, « Why are we having all these people from s**thole countries come here?”
While the comment has been corroborated by multiple people and Trump admitted to using “tough” language, he has denied making the comment.
On Saturday, visual artist Robin Bell posted a variety of photos and videos to his Twitter feed of a new projection put up on Trump International Hotel in Washington D. C.
The beginning of the projection, which was placed above an entrance, featured the word “s**thole” with animated poop emojis.
Then, it gave way to the words “Pay Trump bribes here” with an arrow pointing to the door.
Bell also sent a message to the public, which said, “We are all responsible to stand up and end white supremacy.”
“The president of the United States is a known racist and a Nazi sympathizer,” another projection read. “This is not a drill.”
Another series of projections targeted people who live outside of D. C. and need a place to stay, saying, “This place is a s**thole.”
According to The Washington Post, this isn’t the first time Bell has used Trump’s hotel to air his criticism. He reportedly focused the projector toward the building for about 40 minutes.
