Authorities are investigating a two-car crash that killed a 16-year-old Montour boy.
The accident happened around 3:45 p.m. Friday about a quarter-mile south of F17, which is a couple of miles north of Grinnell, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report.
Troopers said 16-year-old Connor McCrary of Montour drifted off the road, then overcorrected his car and struck another vehicle broadside. McCrary’s vehicle ended up in the ditch.
The other vehicle stopped on the road, blocking part of a lane. The 47-year-old driver, from Grinnell, was taken to the hospital, but the extent of his injuries was unknown as of Friday night.
The crash remains under investigation.
