The Union County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the lockdown was due to the « active homicide scene » and that students were safe.
The unknown suspect — armed with a long gun — remained on the loose hours after the shooting.
« We’re pursuing leads and trying to figure out what this is all about, » Underwood said.
Robinson’s friends were shocked and stunned by the shooting.
« I’m not only pissed but I’m hurt, » Walter Rorie wrote. “That was a cowardly move to kill this man on his birthday!”
