The home of the Patriots tight end was the site of a break-in, police say
As if the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles wasn’t enough.
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski returned home Monday to find that his home had been broken into while he was at Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis.
A police dispatcher said « multiple safes and possibly guns » were taken, while Foxborough police chief William Baker would not specify details about the robbery Tuesday .
Gronkowski lives just a few miles from Gillette Stadium.
« It’s a tough combination to have suffered this unfortunate loss, and then to get home and be a victim of this kind of crime which really has a profound effect on everybody who is a victim of this crime when your personal space is breached like that, » Baker told reporters.
Gronkowski had nine catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots’ 41-33 loss.
