Woman who died in crash identified as Port Huron resident

Diana Lynn Hayward, 60, of Port Huron was killed in the two-vehicle crash that happened about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
MARYSVILLE — Police have identified a woman who died late Wednesday in a traffic crash on Range Road between Cuttle and Davis roads in Marysville.
Marysville Deputy Chief Ron Buckmaster said Diana Lynn Hayward, 60, of Port Huron was killed in the two-vehicle crash that happened about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to police, Hayward and another woman were northbound on Range Road in an SUV when a southbound sedan crossed the center line and struck them head-on.
Buckmaster said blood drawn from the driver of the southbound vehicle, who has not been identified pending possible charges, was sent to the Michigan State Police for testing for alcohol or other substances.
The crash is being investigated as a possible drunken driving crash.
Both the man in the southbound vehicle and the woman in the northbound vehicle were hospitalized with serious injuries.
