Don’t blink.
The Pittsburgh Penguins turned a comfortable two-goal lead into a rout on Sunday before most fans had a chance to blink.
During the second period of Game 3 in Philadelphia, Evgeni Malkin gave the Penguins a three-goal lead on a one-timer past Brian Elliott. On the ensuing face off, Sidney Crosby went uncontested off the draw and dropped a pass back to Brian Dumoulin for the goal.
Just five seconds went off the clock between the two goals.

As efficient as those goals were, it didn’t quite match the NHL record for quickest back-to-back goals by one team – three seconds.
Fastest two goals by one team, NHL history: Three Seconds St. Louis Eagles: Mar. 12,1935 @mnwild: Jan. 21,2004 @NYIslanders: Nov. 30,2016
But this wasn’t done against an empty net. The Penguins took a 4-1 lead into the third period.
