Team says reliever was conscious and taken to nearby Chicago hospital for further tests.
Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Danny Farquhar was taken to a nearby Chicago hospital after fainting in the dugout during the White Sox’s game against the Astros at Guaranteed Rate Field on Friday.
The team released a statement indicating Farquhar was tended to by on-site emergency medical technicians and team medical personnel, and that he was conscious and taken to Rush University Medical Center.
Farquhar is expected to undergo further treatment and testing and the White Sox said they would update as more information became available.
The Astros won the game, 10-0 .
