Amazon is back with its Prime Day sale. The e-commerce giant on Tuesday announced that it is going to host this year’s Prime day sale starting July 16,12PM (noon) to July 18 12AM (midnight). Like last year, the Prime day sale is exclusively for the Amazon Prime users. Amazon claims that this year’s Prime Day sale will be bigger than last year and will be live for 36-hours straight, unlike last year, which was for 24-hours.
Prime Day this year will see over 200 exclusive new product launches from top brands such as OnePlus, Bosch, Intel, HP, Acer, and more. All the products will be available at the lowest prices of all times. The Prime Day sale is exclusively for the Prime members, hence, if you still haven’t subscribed to Amazon Prime, do it today to avail these discounts. It is also for the first time on Prime Day that the Prime members will have access to Prime more.
Alongside the new launches, there will be hundreds and thousands of deals on smartphones, TVs, laptops, appliances, and fashion and everyday essentials at the lowest prices of the year. During the sale, there will be discounts on Amazon Echo family of devices, Fire TV Stick, All New Kindle, Kindle Oasis and Kindle Paperwhite. It is also for the first time that Prime members will be able to shop from hundreds of deals from Amazon’s international selection alongside the India site.
Amazon has also partnered with HDFC bank to offer customers 10 per cent instant discount on shopping with their HDFC credit or debit card. In addition, customers paying via Amazon Pay wallet can get back 10 per cent cashback. It is for the first time during the Prime Day sale that the ultra-fast 2-hour delivery service will be available for Prime members in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Hyderabad on the Prime Now app
During the Prime Day sale, Amazon will be offering up to 40 per cent discount on smartphones and its accessories. Alongside the discounts, there will be offers like No cost EMI and up to Rs 3,000 cashback on exchange smartphones. The discounted prices of the phones are yet to be revealed but going by the official landing page of the smartphone offers looks like phones like Moto G5s Plus, Moto G6, OnePlus 6, Honor 7X, Honor 7C, Galaxy On 7 Prime, Galaxy Note 8, P20 Pro, Vivo V9 and more devices will be on offer. Additionally, Amazon will be offering up to 80 per cent discount on phone accessories. Overall, under the smartphone segment, Amazon will offer discounts on OnePlus, Samsung, Xiaomi, Moto, Honor, Realme, Huawei, Apple, Nokia, Tenor, LG and Vivo phones.
As for the Prime Video, during Prime Day seven new titles will be launching starting July 10 including Raazi, 102 Not Out, Dunkirk, Transformers: The Last Night, Angreszi Mein Kehte Hain, Officer (Telugu) and Prime Original show, Comicstaan.
Furthermore, during Prime Day, Amazon Prime Music will be launching specially curated playlists in several Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Rajasthani, Bengali and two new languages Assamese & Odia. On account of the Prime Day, starting July 3, Prime members who play three songs from the millions of songs on Amazon Prime Music stand a chance to win two Echo Dots every day.
