Four people were killed and five more injured in a horror crash between two vehicles in eMalahleni, Mpumalanga on Saturday morning.
ER24 spokesperson, Ineke van Huyssteen, said the accident happened on the on the R555 Ou Oogies road at around 6:30.
She said when ER24 paramedics arrived, they found that three people had sustained fatal injuries. They were declared dead on the scene.
« Three others were found to have sustained serious injuries, and another two sustained minor to moderate injuries, » she said.
Van Huyssteen said paramedics hen transported a woman, who was in a critical condition, to a nearby hospital.
« Unfortunately, shortly afterwards, the woman succumbed to her injuries in the hospital and was declared dead, » she said.
Van Huyssteen said the rest of the patients had also been transported to hospital by various other medical services on scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
