The successor of JioPhone, aka the JioPhone 2, is already out of stock.
The successor of JioPhone– aka the JioPhone 2– is finally here. The company held the first flash sale of the JioPhone 2 on its official website Jio.com at 12PM today and in no time the phone went out of stock.
Reliance Jio announced the JioPhone 2 at its Annual General Meeting of this year. The company said that the phone will be up for pre-orders starting August 15. However, that didn’t happen instead the phone straight away went on flash sale on August 16.
The company has not disclosed the number of phone units it sold in the first flash sale. The second JioPhone 2 next flash sale will be held on August 30 at 12 PM on company’s official website.

— Login to your Jio account with your Jio number
— Click on the JioPhone 2 banner on the website
— Enter your area Pincode
— Proceed to checkout
— Enter your personal details like name, email id, mobile number, among others
— Select the payment option. Note that JioPhone 2 can be booked only via netbanking, debit or credit card. There is no cash of delivery feature provided by the company
— Pay Rs 2,999
— You will receive an order confirmation once the order is confirmed. You will receive the confirmation on your registered number or email id. Do not forget to save the order number for the delivery. The delivery of the phone is expected to happen within 5 to 7 business days. You will have to visit nearby Jio store or any Jio partner store with your order ID to collect your JioPhone 2.
JioPhone 2 is a smarter and a better version of JioPhone. The phone is similar to its predecessor in terms of features but design-wise the phone is an upgrade over the JioPhone. You will get a QWERTY keypad with JioPhone 2. Moreover, the phone will ship with WhatsApp, Facebook, Google Maps, and YouTube support. The phone costs Rs 2,999.
The JioPhone 2 sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display and is powered by Spreadtrum 9820 dual-core SoC. The phone runs on KAI OS and comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.
