Lead singer Eddie Vedder has been an outspoken critic of Trump.
Pearl Jam, the hugely successful rock group hailing from Seattle, released a poster on Tuesday that featured a burning White House and a dead Donald Trump.
Also depicted in the image, which was drawn by bassist Jeff Ament and artist Bobby Brown, was a crumbling Washington Monument, an Eye of Providence, a flying saucer, and the statue of Abraham Lincoln from the Lincoln Memorial.

The poster was made to promote the band’s show at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana.
Pearl Jam is known widely for the guttural tones of its lead singer, Eddie Vedder, which are heard on hits like “Yellow Bedletter” and “Better Man.” Vedder has been an outspoken critic of Trump. During a recent show in London, he told the audience that “moms and dads and children being separated at the border in the United States of America » wasn’t « the country [he] remember[ed].”
The show for which the poster was put together was actually a fundraiser for Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.). Tester’s campaign and the band even put together a special package, offering a dinner with Tester and Ament, according to The Missoulian. It was actually the second time that Tester and the band partnered up.
Now, Tester is enduring some criticism for the poster. Matt Rosendale, who is running against Tester, tweeted: “This poster from Pearl Jam is disgusting and reprehensible. […] It’s time for [Tester] to denounce this act of violence and blatant display of extremism!”
Though we’ve only seen a few polls on this race, Tester is winning in all of them. The Real Clear Politics polling average shows the sitting senator holding onto a 5.5-point lead over Rosendale. Trump visited Montana in early July to stump against Tester, and there’s a chance he may return to Big Sky Country if Tester continues to lead the race.
