With last week’s unwrapping of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, a whole new series of wallpaper was made official. Now, we know that for most people, the wallpaper isn’t a very important part of their smartphone experience. Most consumers probably just accept the wallpaper that appears on the screen by default. But if you’re a phone enthusiast, you probably give great thought to which image will be on your home and lock screens.
The 10 new wallpapers on the Galaxy Note 9 take advantage of the deep blacks found on AMOLED panels. Besides the black backgrounds, the wallpaper looks like someone opened a number of different colored paint containers and swirled them around to create a work of art. Still, these new wallpapers look nice on the Galaxy Note 9, and they might also look good on your phone as well.
There are some phone owners (yours truly included) who prefer to see a « cityscape » wallpaper on their phones. Instead of abstract art, we prefer the concrete and steel reality of the big city. A good example is the wallpaper we installed on a recently purchased Google Pixel 2 XL, which is found on the right side of this article.
