ATLANTA — Jamon Brown is no longer with the Rams, and thus he will not be on the field Sunday when they face the Patriots in Super Bowl 53. Brown, who landed with the Giants, is gone, but not forgotten, and if the Rams win, at least one of his former teammates believes he should back in the glow with some jewelry.
“I think he deserves a ring,’’ said Rodger Safford, the Rams’ starting left guard. “I mean, let’s be honest, he was with this team last year, he was with us for eight weeks this year. I think he deserves that.’’
Safford said he and others on the offensive line were sorry to see Brown go. Brown, a 2015 third-round pick out of Louisville, started nine games as a rookie for the Rams and all 16 in 2017, at right guard.
