Virginia’s highest-ranking Republican state lawmaker insisted Thursday that he’s never worn blackface — as the state’s Democratic governor and attorney general face calls to resign over donning the racist makeup in college.
“I have never appeared in blackface,” said state House Speaker Kirk Cox.
