Three days after Detroit police went door-to-door looking for more victims in a serial killer case and took a person of interest into custody, the Wayne County prosecutor has charged 34-year-old DeAngelo Kenneth Martin with sexual assault.
Authorities accuse Martin of stabbing and sexually assaulting a 26-year-old Detroit woman at 1:40 a.m. May 7 at an east side Detroit house.
Martin, who was wanted for questioning on Friday and as taken into police custody not long after that, was charged Monday with one count of assault with intent to murder, and four counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree.
