Two Major WWE Stars Are ‘Getting Offers’ From Hollywood

WWE may have a familiar problem on its hands as two top stars are receiving plenty of offers to do movies and TV shows.
WWE is no strangers to losing its biggest stars to Hollywood, and the company may be experiencing a case of deja vu.
Over the course of the past two decades, a handful of WWE’s most high-profile names have all but left pro wrestling behind for the world of TV and movies. Most notably, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson bolted WWE in the prime of his career nearly two decades ago and eventually became Hollywood’s highest-paid actor, according to FORBES. Other marquee wrestlers, like Batista and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, also traded in their wrestling boots for the silver screen.
Now, arguably WWE’s two top full-time stars could follow suit.
According to Paul Davis of WrestlingNews.co, Becky Lynch is generating a ton of interest in Hollywood. Davis wrote, “Becky Lynch…is getting television and movie offers. I was told of at least two directors that would be interested in casting her in big movie projects. Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that a major national women’s magazine is preparing for a major feature on Lynch and others in the entertainment world are interested in her because of how she connects with the crowd. I was told that her Twitter presence has helped her a lot.”
who reportedly will appear in an upcoming Marvel movie—has made plenty of history in WWE over the past couple of years, becoming the first female star to grave the cover of the WWE 2K video game franchise and the first woman to main event a WrestleMania, among a slew of other accomplishments.
