There’s a new Google app that lets users earn money for completing tasks on their smartphones. Dubbed Task Mate (h/t 9to5Google), the app is currently available in India and Kenya only. Like Google Opinion Rewards that gives users Play Store credit for completing surveys, Task Mate will also remunerate users for undertaking tasks for businesses. The chief difference is that actual currency will be rewarded to a user via a digital payments platform, not merely app store credits. As for the tasks on offer, you won’t have to help scrub dishes in a restaurant or clean up the local park.
