As a final gift in 2020, The Pokémon Company is distributing a special Pikachu in Pokémon Sword and Shield, to commemorate the KIBO stream from the International Space Station. The International Space Station Pokémon stream kicked off on Thursday morning (North American time) and offered live footage from space as augmented-reality Pokémon appeared on-screen. It was a neat visual that Pokémon fans could enjoy as the new year arrives. While that stream concludes, trainers can pick up the special Pikachu via the Mystery Gift function in Sword or Shield, and they’ll have to do it soon, as it’s only available for a limited time.
