A Muncie man who struck and killed a local motorcyclist\u00a0has been sentenced to 13 years in prison.
MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man who struck and killed a local motorcyclist has been sentenced to 13 years in prison. Rickey Lee Griffin,55, had pleaded guilty in January to leaving the scene of a traffic accident resulting in death, a Level 3 felony carrying up to 16 years in prison. Delaware Circuit Court 4 Judge John Feick on Wednesday imposed a 14-year sentence with one year suspended. The 13-year term was maximum allowed under the terms of a plea agreement. Muncie police said Griffin was intoxicated last May 3 when he struck from behind a motorcycle operated by 68-year-old Charles C.
