Lawyer says video shows Donald ‘saves’ victim after attack by others outside party in Pittsburgh.
Aaron Donald’s attorney is giving the Rams star’s side of the story after the NFL Defensive Player of the Year was accused of assaulting a man at a party in Pittsburgh. DeVincent Spriggs,26, filed a criminal complaint with Pittsburgh police Wednesday, alleging Donald,29, assaulted him early Sunday morning, causing face and arm injuries. Attorney Casey White, representing Donald, told Pittsburgh TV and radio stations Friday that surveillance video shows other people attacking Spriggs on the street outside the party and Donald trying to stop them before the player is pulled away by someone else. “He actually saves Mr. Spriggs from further injury,” White told KDKA FM-93.7. A 20-second surveillance video clip posted by WPXI TV appears to show what White is talking about.
