Google’s had a ton of pop-up retail stores around the world, but the Google Store NYC will be its first-ever permanent home, opening in 2021.
Over the years, Google has opened dozens of temporary pop-up retail stores all around the world. Whether at a trade show or to promote the launch of a brand new product line, Google has a long history with physical retail. However, it’s never had a permanent home. That will change next month when the company opens the Google Store NYC, its very first non-pop-up shop. Located in the Chelsea district of Manhattan, the shop will contain all manners of Made by Google products, just like its online store.
