There was nothing abstract about this case. An 82-year-old painting by Pablo Picasso has been found nearly a decade after it was stolen from the National Gallery in Athens, Greece. The painting, “Head of a Woman,” a Cubist portrait of the Spanish artist’s long-time partner-in-crime Dora Maar, was one of several pieces stolen from the gallery in a daring early morning heist in 2012. According to the BBC, the thief cased the gallery for six months and on Jan.9,2012 set off an alarm in a different part of the building, broke into the area with the Picasso and took four works of art in a matter of minutes.
