The United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Monday that Britain is getting close to the end of its COVID-19 restrictions after a tumultuous year of strict government lockdowns. “If we can’t reopen our society in the next few weeks when we will be helped by the arrival of summer and the school holidays, we must ask ourselves ‘when will we be able to reopen?’” Johnson said at a press briefing at Downing Street, per CNBC.
