Electronic Arts has opened up five of their accessibility patents to all developers, regardless of size and location. These systems can be found on GitHub and is open source. These gameplay systems include Apex Legends’ ping system, visual systems for colorblindness, and more.
Electronic Arts is granting developers access to five of its patents relating to accessibility, including Apex Legends ’ very good ping system. This allows other publishers and developers to freely use these systems in their own games, which is a win for gamers with disabilities.
