ALEXANDRIA, Virginia: Alexanda Amon Kotey, one of two UK nationals charged with joining the Islamic State (IS) and conspiring to torture and murder American and European hostages in Syria, is expected to plead guilty to criminal charges in the U.S. Kotey, who was part of a group of four British IS members dubbed « The Beatles » by the IS, along with another man, El Shafee Elsheikh, were extradited to the U.S. last year to stand trial. A change of plea hearing is to take place at the US District Court in Alexandria, Virginia, federal court records show, but there is no indication of the specific charge or charges to which Kotey is expected to admit guilt.
