InfoWars founder Alex Jones has lost a defamation lawsuit brought by parents of children killed during the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. According to court documents unsealed Thursday, Judge Maya Guerra Gamble of Travis County, Texas, issued a “judgement by default against” Jones, as well as ordering the defendants to “pay reasonable attorney’s fees in connection with Plaintiff’s Motion.” The Huffington Post first reported the default judgements. The plaintiffs, Leonard Pozner and Veronique De La Rosa, brought the case against Jones in 2018 after the radio host allegedly claimed the shooting was a hoax and the parents were hired crisis actors.
