Sixth season of Showtime drama will debut in January
Damian Lewis has exited « Billions » following Sunday’s fifth season finale of the Showtime drama. The sixth season of the series, now without Lewis’s character, Bobby « Axe » Axelrod, will debut in January. « Thank you @SHO_Billions thank you @briankoppelman @DavidLevien, » Lewis tweeted Monday. « A pleasure and a privilege to play Axe for 5 seasons with some of the smartest, funniest most talented cast and crew I’ve worked with. Love. » During Sunday’s Season 5 finale of « Billions, » Axe went on the run in Switzerland to hide out from New York State Attorney General Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti), after his billionaire rival Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) gained control of all of Axe’s companies.
