Mozilla Combines Multi-Account Containers With Its VPN Service

A tab in England, a tab in France, even a tab in Canada perchance.
Mozilla has married two of its privacy-focused tools: Multi-Account Containers and Mozilla VPN. The company released the Multi-Account Containers add-on for its Firefox browser in 2016. The premise is simple: People often have multiple accounts for a service, and rather than forcing them to use different browsers or constantly switch between those accounts, the add-on lets Firefox users keep cookies saved by one tab separate from cookies saved by other tabs. By combining the container concept with its VPN, Mozilla says it’s « adding an extra layer of privacy by protecting your browsing activity and enabling you to set a different exit server in a different location for each of your containers.
