Nearly 1.7 million Fitbit Ionics were sold between 2017 and 2020.
Fitbit has recalled its Ionic Smartwatch due to burn hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Wednesday. More than a million of the devices have been sold in the U.S. and nearly 700,000 more were purchased internationally. Refunds are being offered due to the watch’s lithium-ion battery, which can overheat and burn customers.
