However, despite this approach, the Redmond-based tech giant continued to serve updates on its Update Catalog via HTTP, most likely as many companies out there were using old browsers, possibly Internet Explorer, to download these updates. But as spotted by Deskmodder, Microsoft has quietly made the switch to HTTPS sometimes recently, with all updates now served through a secure connection.
