According to police, Depape was charged with elder abuse, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and attempted homicide.
David Depape, the suspect accused of attacking Paul Pelosi, previously sent « really disturbing » emails to a woman he knew.
On Friday, the San Francisco Police Department identified Depape, 42, as the man who broke into Pelosi’s home in San Francisco and allegedly attacked the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
While speaking with CNN on Friday, Linda Schneider said she knew Depape several years ago in Berkeley, California. Schneider said that Depape would housesit for her occasionally while he was living in a storage unit. Schneider told CNN that Depape sent her « really disturbing » emails. According to Schneider, Depape’s emails made him sound like he was « out of touch with reality » and also discussed « Biblical justification to do harm. » She eventually ended her communication with Depape, telling CNN that « it seemed so dangerous.
