Most Overdramatic Fan Reactions to Taylor Swift Ticket Mess: 'My 9/11'

The internet was set ablaze after millions of Swifties were left waiting for hours in online ticket queues.
No recording artist moves the internet quite like Taylor Swift.
On November 15, tickets for Swift’s coming Eras Tour, billed as « a journey through the musical eras » of the 32-year-old megastar, were made available for presale, with verification codes sent out to fans the night before.
Queue the chaos.
With millions of fans pouring into virtual waiting rooms, ticket inventory was quickly wiped out, driving prices through the roof. On StubHub, a pair of tickets for Swift’s May 27 concert at MetLife Stadium in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area were listed for more than $76,000—apiece.
The overwhelming rush also caused Ticketmaster’s website to crash, leaving droves of fans ticketless and at their wit’s end.
« Ticketmaster is like ‘we’ve hidden five Taylor Swift tickets in chocolate bars located across the world GOOD LUCK' » one Twitter user chided.
« If taylor swift isn’t in your spotify wrapped and i see you got tickets to the eras tour, it’s on site, » another user added, offering a thinly veiled threat of violence.
In a screenshot of a now-deleted tweet addressed to Swift, another fan appeared to say they’d give their life for the « Midnights » singer, just for the opportunity to be present for a stop on the Eras Tour.
