Apple blocks update to email app with ChatGPT tech, here's why

Apple has reportedly delayed the approval of an update to an AI-powered email app, citing concerns that the app could generate inappropriate content for children. The company claims that BlueMail does not include content filtering and is not fit for children, and because the app could potentially generate adult content, it must use the 17+ age restriction. To gain Apple’s approval, BlueMail may need to move its age restriction to 17 and older or include content filtering that Apple deems appropr.
Apple has reportedly delayed the approval of an update to an AI-powered email app. According to a report in WallStreetJournal, an update to the email app BlueMail was blocked last week. The report quotes Ben Volach, co-founder of BlueMail developer Blix Inc. BlueMail uses a customized version of OpenAI’s GPT-3 language model. Blix co-founder slams Apple Ben Volach, the co-founder of BlueMail developer Blix Inc does not agree with Apple. « Apple is making it really hard to bring innovation to our users, » Volach told WSJ.
