Reba McEntire and Jennifer Hudson may have just given a duet for the ages.
The country music star, 68, stopped by « The Jennifer Hudson Show, » where she reminisced about covering « Respect » by the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin in 1980.
McEntire told Hudson, 41, her motivation to cover the song was simple.
« I liked the song, » she said, in a clip from the episode published online Wednesday. « I loved the song. I love Aretha. I got to meet her. She scared me to death. I wouldn’t even talk to her. »
Hudson sympathized, saying, « Yeah, that scared me too.
