Aaron Carter’s ex-fiancée disputes coroner’s report of his cause of death

Aaron Carter drowned after huffing compressed gas and taking generic Xanax, according to an autopsy report obtained Tuesday by The Post.
Carter had inhaled difluoromethane, an odorless gas, and taken alprazolam, which is known as generic Xanax, leading to him being submerged underwater in a bathtub at his Lancaster, California, home on Nov. 5, according to findings from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
It was previously reported that compressed air cans and pill bottles were found at the scene.
Carter was 34. His death was ruled an accident.
The Post has contacted reps for Carter for comment.
Melanie Martin — his ex-fiancée and mother of his son, Prince — told TMZ on Tuesday: “The results of the autopsy are not closure for me. It claims death is by drowning but also adds he was wearing a t-shirt and necklace in the bathtub which doesn’t make sense, why would he be in a bathtub with clothes on?”
“I am still in shock and still miss Aaron every day.
