CNN host Jake Tapper laughed while reading Fox News’s statement on the settlement it reached on Tuesday with Dominion Voting Systems over its coverage of former President Trump’s false claims of voter fraud during the 2020 presidential election.
“I’m sorry. This is going to be difficult to say with a straight face,” Tapper said during his show “The Lead” while reading Fox’s statement.
In making the announcement of the settlement, the network said, “We are pleased to have reached a settlement of our dispute with Dominion Voting Systems. We acknowledge the Court’s rulings finding certain claims about Dominion to be false. This settlement reflects FOX’s continued commitment to the highest journalistic standards.
