Outraged 9/11 families feel ‘betrayed’ by PGA Tour over LIV Golf merger

Already a strong and vocal critic of LIV Golf, an advocacy group representing families of 9/11 victims ripped the PGA Tour and commissioner Jay Monahan on Tuesday as hypocrites and “shills” for merging with the rogue Saudi-funded league.
Terry Strada, the national chair of 9/11 Families United, said in a blistering statement that the organization was “shocked and deeply offended” by the stunning announcement of the new alignment, which will also include the DP World Tour.
“Mr. Monahan talked last summer about knowing people who lost loved ones on 9/11, then wondered aloud on national television whether LIV Golfers ever had to apologize for being a member of the PGA Tour. They do now – as does he,” said Strada, whose husband Tom died at the World Trade Center during the terrorist attacks on Sept.
