These two are going to keep at it until one of them dies. E. Jean Carroll sued Trump, accusing him of rape decades ago. She is now 79-years-old and Trump is 77-years-old. The alleged assault or rape occurred 28 years ago.
E. Jean Carroll got her 15 minutes of fame and more with her story of a brief chat with Trump in the dressing room area of Bergdorf Goodman on 5th Avenue in Manhattan. That chat, she alleges, turned into a rape. She sued him and a federal grand jury found that Trump did not rape her but was liable for sexual abuse and defamation. The former president has been ordered to pay $5 million. Trump said at the time that he will appeal the ruling.
Now Trump has filed a lawsuit alleging that she is guilty of defamation against him.
Trump’s legal team said E. Jean Carroll “wantonly and falsely” accused Trump on “multiple occasions of committing rape,” saying those claims “constitute defamation.” Well now. His lawyers, Alina Habba an Michael Madaio, filed the lawsuit lst week.
