Charles River overflows after storm brings heavy rain to Massachusetts

In one community, the water level is about 3 feet deep on part of a road that has been flooded out by a tributary of the Charles.
Rivers in Massachusetts are still rising two days after a powerful storm brought heavy rain to the state, including the Charles River.
Residents of Medfield told NewsCenter 5 that floodwaters were about 3 feet deep on part of Causeway Street on Wednesday.
A bridge that carries Causeway Street over the Stop River, a tributary of the Charles, was inundated with water and has prompted a road closure. The Charles River was upgraded to a moderate flood stage on Wednesday.
