Tesla Issues Yet Another Software Recall Over Door Safety Issue

Tesla released an Over-The-Air software recall to fix an issue that could lead to a door opening while driving.
Tesla is going through another recall, this time for 120,000 vehicles. But just like last time, this involves a software-based, over-the-air (OTA) update that should address a severe issue with doors.
It’s worth noting that the NHTSA sets terminology, and whether a defect requires a software or a physical fix, it refers to the situation as a recall. In this case, the problem is serious, but can be addressed with a software update.
According to the NHTSA notice:
Modern vehicles are required to lock doors during travel, as the locking mechanism serves as an additional safeguard.
