Jon Stewart says Apple blocked him from hosting FTC Chair Lina Khan ahead of company's monopoly lawsuit: “Why are they so afraid?”

Jon Stewart reveals Apple asked him not to host Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan on a podcast amid accusations of their monopoly on the smart phone market.
Jon Stewart is not holding back now that he’s returned to The Daily Show on Comedy Central.
During this week’s episode, Stewart revealed to Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan that Apple asked him not to host her on his Apple TV+ series, The Problem With Jon Stewart.
“I wanted to have you on a podcast and Apple asked us not to do it,” he told Khan, referring to the show’s accompanying podcast. “They literally said, ‘Please don’t talk to her.’”
He also noted that the streamer “wouldn’t let us do even that dumb thing we just did in the first act on AI,” referring to a segment from earlier that evening in which Stewart criticized artificial intelligence.
“Like, what is that sensitivity? Why are they so afraid to even have these conversations out in the public sphere?” he asked Khan, who has proven to be an outspoken critic of the company.
