Bloomberg reports that Apple is close to a deal that will bring generative AI chatbot ChatGPT to the iPhone via iOS 18.
Bloomberg chief correspondent Mark Gurman is reporting that Apple is close to finalizing a deal with OpenAI that would add AI chatbot ChatGPT to the iPhone through iOS 18. On Friday, Gurman posted a tweet that read, « Apple is finalizing a deal with OpenAI to power some Generative AI features — like a chatbot — for the new iOS this year. Talks with Google to integrate Gemini are ongoing but no deal has been reached. »
According to Gurman, who is as close to being an insider at Apple as any member of the media, the deal between Apple and OpenAI will allow the use of some ChatGPT features in iOS 18.
