‘9 to 5’ star Dabney Coleman reportedly died at age 92.
Actor Dabney Coleman died on Thursday (May 16), TMZ reports. He was 92.
Born in 1932 in Austin, Texas, Coleman attended the Virginia Military Institute and the University Of Texas School Of Law, and also served in the military ahead of launching his career in the entertainment industry, per the Hollywood Walk of Fame website.
Dabney earned his first acting credit in an episode of Naked City in 1961, per IMDb. He would go on to appear in countless TV spots over the course of his career, including The Donna Reed Show, I Dream of Jeannie, Columbo, Law & Order: SVU, Recess The Guardian, Boardwalk Empire, and Ray Donovan.
He starred in Norman Lear‘s Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman as Merle Jeeter, and continued on in the role after the show was rebranded to Forever Fernwood.
