Today anchor Savannah Guthrie has been candid about her close-knit family with mom Nancy Guthrie through the years.
News broke on Sunday, February 1, that Nancy, 84, was reported missing after a family member called 911. Savannah was absent from the Today show the next morning, but released a statement on behalf of the family.
“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, and messages of support,” her statement read. “Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom. We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.”
Nancy was last seen on Saturday, January 31. New details have continued to emerge about Nancy’s disappearance, including that authorities could tell Nancy “didn’t leave on her own” and “don’t see this as a search mission as much” as a crime scene
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nano went on to share during a Monday press conference that there are “some concerns” about what they found in her home.
