Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, missing from home; police investigate as a crime scene.
Unimaginable. Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie, went missing from her Arizona home over the weekend. When family members could not contact her yesterday, police began a search for the 84-year-old woman, described as « sharp as a tack » but reliant on daily medication to survive.
This morning, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office declared her home a « crime scene », and investigators still don’t know where Nancy may be:
BREAKING: Authorities say Savannah Guthrie’s mom’s disappearance is being investigated as a crime.
« We believe now, after we processed that crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime scene that we do, in fact, have a crime. » pic.twitter.com/TgdZ9GHsUH— Fox News (@FoxNews) February 2, 2026
KVOA has more on the statement from Sheriff Chris Nanos:
According to Nanos, Search and Rescue teams from several teams including Pima County and Border Patrol have been looking for Guthrie.
