Spillane, a team captain and New England’s defensive signal-caller, said he’s “100%” confident he’ll be ready to play against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
“I mean, there’s no chance in my mind that I miss this game,” Spillane said before Wednesday’s Patriots practice. “It feels like I’ve been preparing for this moment for years of my life. But 100% confidence from me.”
Spillane led the Patriots with 97 tackles during the regular season despite missing the final four games with a separate ankle injury. He played every defensive snap in the wild-card round and 93% in the divisional round before exiting in the first quarter of the AFC title game in Denver.
